of silk, the richness of velvet, the earthy touch
of objects from nature, and the sparkle of jewels
can be found in the wardrobe of the well dressed fairy.
Natural fabrics, are the key to keeping a fairy happily
dressed. Cotton, Wool, Linen, Hemp, and Silk are the
most well known and popular of these fabrics among
fairy kind. Silk comes in may weights from heavy silk
velvets and brocades, to fabrics so sheer they will
float in the slightest breeze. Brocaded, ruffled,
flounced, embroidered, beaded, tasseled and jeweled,
you can find silks of all kinds in modern lines of
clothing. In today’s shops both online and off
line, you will find many magical clothing choices
in different types of silk. The wonderful cotton plant also produces fine fairy fabrics. Look for dresses, skirts, and blouse in crinkled cotton gauze, or ultra light weight polished cotton, if you are into a bit of sheen. The three tiered skirt in breezy cottons is the favorite staple of many a fairy’s closet. to short, sweet, and skin barring. Don’t forget

in gorgeous colors of shimmering velvet and heavy

Elaborate head pieces of diamond’s and gold, to simple woven flower wreaths rest upon fashionable shiny tresses. Ribbons tied up and down an arm or leg and left to dangle are lovely when flowing behind a fairy in full flight. Full face masks, half masks, and eyes masks abound. Made from bark, wood, paper, leaves, and a myriad of other wonderful objects, each mask is unique and reflects the personal tastes of it‘s wearer. You can make you own mask using mask forms found at craft supply stores and shops. Using some glue, and the wide variety of embellishments available today, a fancy masks is easy to achieve with a free afternoon. Face and body paint are also another popular form of adornment among many of the fairy folk. From bright colors to subtle stripes, fairies sometimes use their skins as an artistic canvas. In today’s cosmetic market there are many new products for the human brethren to achieve the magical painted look of the fairies. Attachable Austrian crystals, for skin and nails can be found in almost any retail chain type of store, that has a cosmetic section. This little bits of sparkle look great around the eyes, or chattered across a bare shoulder. Make up and body paint come in a variety of colors, from shimmering iridescent, to dark and brooding hues of the gothic scene. In many costume supply shops you can find theatrical make up for almost any purpose you can think of. Don’t forget to check out the new make up sealers, this types of shops and stores have to offer. These sealers will keep you mystical face and body paint fresh for many hours, while you dance the day away, and fly through the midnight skies. You can even achieve that exotic pointed eared look that most fairies sport, for yourself, with a little help from a costuming shop. Ear tip prosthetics are now easier to find than ever, and with a little help from the special glue that comes with most tips, you can have a fairly real looking set of pointed ears for yourself in no time at all. Although not every fairy sports a pair of wings, for some of the fae folk are wingless, the winged fairy look is very popular among human kind wishing to achieve a fey look! You can be industrious and make your own wings, or purchase them costume supply shops. There are also many online retail sites that specialize in giving humans their very own wings. Prices on wings range from a mild ten to twenty four dollars, to much higher priced custom made wings. You can also find very reasonable wings in different shapes that are done in plain colors like, white, black, purple, red, yellow, orange, and green.
